About the Role

Parallel Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Systems and Network Manager to join our dynamic team in Swindon.

This is an office-based position requiring a five-day-per-week commitment. You will be eligible for security clearance and ideally, you will live within a 45-60 minute commute of Swindon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of servers, networks, hardware, and software to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the IT infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, oversee procurement, and manage IT budgets effectively.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of the IT environment by implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures, maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, M365).
  • Hands-on experience in all areas of IT security.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800 and Cyber Essentials (advantageous).
