We are Whitbread, the UK's largest hospitality business with a presence across the country. Our fixed asset portfolio is a crucial aspect of our financial operations, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to ensure its integrity.

In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering accurate financial reporting and effective controls. Your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities will be invaluable in guiding your team towards success.

The position is based in Dunstable, with a minimum of three days per week spent in the office. This is a permanent opportunity that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of high-quality financial reports and data for the fixed asset portfolio.
  • Business partnering to support commercial decisions and drive growth.
  • Design and operation of effective controls through the control framework (FCF) and development of risk and control matrices.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet items in line with group accounting policies.
  • Liaison with external auditors to achieve a clean audit for fixed assets.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a broad understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and assess their wider impacts.
  • Experience working with financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
