Care Experienced Children's Team Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Care Experienced Children's team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share a passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
Bridgend County Borough Council is committed to providing high-quality services that support the wellbeing of vulnerable children and families. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting children and families across the county borough.
We have recently restructured our teams to provide a more collaborative and supportive environment, underpinned by a strengths-based approach. This role will be based within one of our smaller case management teams, working closely with colleagues to ensure that children receive the service and outcomes they deserve.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience or more of social work practice, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by care-experienced children. You will be passionate about delivering high-quality services that make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension contributions, generous annual leave, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting children and families across the county borough. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective plans that meet the needs of each child and family.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders, including children, young people, parents, carers, and other professionals. You will be expected to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with these stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.
