Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

Hunter Savage is seeking a skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Ingredients & Packaging Buyer to manage procurement for ingredients and packaging, driving sustainable cost savings and supporting revenue growth. As a key member of our procurement team, you will develop strategies to ensure cost-effective purchases from suppliers, lead negotiations, and implement procurement programs. Your expertise in market analysis tools and procurement best practices will enable you to drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes.

This role requires strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather market intelligence and share insights within the organization. You will work closely with supply chain teams to achieve customer service and operational efficiency targets, collaborating with R&D, Operations, and Marketing/Commercial teams to support new product development and innovation.

The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, particularly in ingredients and packaging, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in procurement. They will also possess knowledge of regulatory and legislative changes impacting sourcing strategies and compliance with ethical sourcing policies and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement strategies for assigned categories to ensure cost-effective purchases from suppliers
  • Lead negotiations and implement procurement programs, including factory rollouts and planning
  • Gather market intelligence and share insights within the organization
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to achieve customer service and operational efficiency targets
  • Work closely with R&D, Operations, and Marketing/Commercial teams to support new product development and innovation

Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement, particularly in ingredients and packaging
  • Knowledge of market analysis tools and procurement best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in procurement
  • Understanding of regulatory and legislative changes impacting sourcing strategies
  • Compliance with ethical sourcing policies and company standards

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package and opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
