Procurement Specialist

Undisclosed is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, including new supplier evaluation and set-up, and managing purchase orders. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as the candidate will be working with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate and drive best value.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes, including new supplier evaluation and set-up, and manage purchase orders.
  • Analyse supplier spend to identify opportunities for negotiation and drive best value.
  • Support the procurement of materials and services using S2P platform.
  • Track and report key operational metrics, including procurement cycle times, procurement efficiency, PO volumes and spend, and category spend.

Requirements:

  • A BSc or professional qualification in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as part of a procurement and/or vendor management team.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate supplier proposals, contracts and spend data.
  • Experience in data management and analysis.
  • Expert in Excel, including pivot tables and v-look-ups.
  • Ability to analyse large data sets to provide insights that drive procurement data-led decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective written communication and verbal communication.
