Technical Procurement Engineer
A pioneering Thermochemical technology company is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team in Cambridge. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the production of renewable fuels, chemicals, and gases.
The Job:
You will be responsible for scheduling your own work to ensure business objectives are met, identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities, and procuring suitable components for the project. Key tasks include:
- Contributing to the generation of procurement specifications.
- Building and maintaining strategic and key supplier relationships.
- Accountable for successful supplier performance management.
- Ensuring technical excellence, quality, and functionality of all contracts.
- Contributing to proposals and contracts to ensure budgets and lead times are accurate and viable.
- Working with other individuals, teams, and disciplines to support Sales, new product development, and aftermarket support.
- Undertaking vendor site visits and technical meetings as required.
The Person:
We are looking for a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. You will be degree qualified or have equivalent experience. Experience within Oil, Gas, or fuel industries would be a significant advantage.
The Package:
- £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
- 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays

This is a Cambridge-based role, and you will need to be able to work from the Cambridge office.
