About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our inpatient team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 12-18 who are experiencing acute emotional, psychological, and behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the needs of clients, developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide therapeutic support and interventions to clients, including formalized therapeutic contact and education.
  • Work closely with families and carers to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Participate in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and implement best practices in the workplace.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.

Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Relevant experience of working in an inpatient team, preferably in a CAMHS setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
