Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychiatric Liaison Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Lead for the Enhanced Mental Health Liaison Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team of clinicians who provide in-depth mental health nursing assessment and intervention within the general hospital setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that all clinical activities adhere to national clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
  • Assume a leadership role in the Psychiatric Liaison Service, providing crucial clinical guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Ensure that all referrals to the team undergo thorough assessment, appropriate management, and timely discharge.
Requirements
  • Completion of nursing qualification and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • 2 years of experience as a band 6.
  • Experience of working in Psychiatric Liaison Service.
  • Prioritizing quality, being progressive, innovative, and continually improving, being professional and honest, promoting what is possible, independence, opportunity, and choice.
  • Extensive experience of working with people with complex, acute mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
