Contract Research Organisation Leader

Bicycle Therapeutics is seeking a skilled Contract Research Organisation (CRO) Senior Manager to lead its external partnerships and manage contracts.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a scientific and operations-based background, with experience in contract management and relationship-building with CROs. They will be responsible for sourcing and leading external collaborations, helping with contract management, and supporting the team in their internal and external communications.
The key responsibilities of this role include collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive workflows for getting CDAs, MSAs, contracts, communication paths, and purchase orders in place for externalized research. The Contract Owner and Point of Contact will also develop and maintain relationships with CRO partners, evaluate external providers for capabilities, quality, cost, throughput, and timelines, and support the management of external research timelines and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive workflows for getting CDAs, MSAs, contracts, communication paths, and purchase orders in place for externalized research.
- CRO Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with CRO partners, acting as Contract Owner and Point of Contact in negotiations and resolution-finding.
- Provider Evaluation: Evaluate external providers for capabilities, quality, cost, throughput, and timelines in various research assays and methods.
- Research Timeline Management: Support the management of external research timelines and deliverables, including reporting of CRO performance to company leadership.
Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
Requirements- Education: Educated in chemical or life sciences, with laboratory research experience in the biopharma industry.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability of working with scientists, legal teams, and vendors/CROs to develop statements of work, including follow-up during project execution.
