Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns and carrying out scheduled maintenance work.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  1. Support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work, and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults.
  2. Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area.
  3. Fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines' historic/information documentation.
  4. Establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them.
  5. Train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and to assist in major repairs.
  6. Ensure that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
  7. Be pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.

Person Specification

  • The successful candidate will ideally have completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship.
  • A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing will be a distinct advantage; however, it is not a prerequisite.
  • You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organise efficiently.

Benefits and Remuneration

The estimated salary for this role is £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience). This is a full-time position working 3 shifts per week.
