We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical expertise to join our team at Onboard Corrugated Limited, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boards and sheet feeders.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance duties, including breakdowns, repairs, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all necessary maintenance is completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with mechanical capabilities and relevant qualifications such as NVQ level 2/3 or City & Guilds Part 1&2. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including PPMs, to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs as required.
  • Assist other technicians with major or minor maintenance work and cover breakdowns when needed.
  • Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repair work within agreed timescales.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in electrical engineering, with mechanical capabilities.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ level 2/3 or City & Guilds Part 1&2.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

  • A basic salary of £42,000 - £47,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
