Are you a penultimate-year university student looking to gain practical engineering experience? We're offering a 10-week summer placement in mechanical engineering at one of Britain's largest railway operating centres.

As a mechanical engineering summer placement student, you'll have the opportunity to work on ambitious engineering projects, gain experience in various specialisms, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive team.

We're looking for logical thinkers with a creative approach to solving complex problems. You should be resourceful, hardworking, and comfortable managing your own time. Great communication skills are also essential.

About the Placement

Throughout the 10-week placement, you'll work on a range of projects, including power distribution, plant, traction, and rolling stock, as well as asset management and infrastructure engineering.

You'll have the flexibility to occasionally travel to attend training opportunities at various locations. We'll ensure you're surrounded by supportive colleagues and receive coaching from senior staff.
