Societe Generale is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Officer to join our RISQ team in the UK. As a key member of our second line of defence, you will be responsible for the coordination of credit portfolio monitoring within SG UK and with the central team at Head Office.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor SGLB credit risk portfolio on a continuous basis, and report to Management. Maintain and develop Credit Risk monitoring and reporting processes, in close cooperation with RISQ/CRE/PIL.
  2. Credit decisions: Support the UK Risk Management function (RISQ/GBR) with regards to credit risk, while being fully integrated in RISQ/CRE/CIB's organisation and processes.
  3. Governance, policies and strategic initiatives: Setting appropriate governance for the approval, monitoring and management of Credit Risk.
  4. Interaction with auditors and regulators: Support the management and timely resolution of all external and internal recommendations (Regulators, Audit, RISQ/CTL).
  5. Coordination with other stakeholders: Nurture strong relationships with LOD1 across the organization, including Business Lines, Coverage functions, and Support Units.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of credit risk management in a banking environment and be able to demonstrate attention to detail, rigour and autonomy.
