About the Role

The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a vital role in managing relationships with suppliers, customers, and agencies to coordinate the movement of inbound & outbound goods, on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accuracy and efficiency of Warehouse processes, including the execution of Making Material Flow and stocktaking policies and procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
  • Manage the daily manifests to schedule work for receipt into and out of the warehouse.
  • Develop and implement supply chain metrics, including Gross & agreed inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Responsible for managing warehouse external storage and premium freight costs.
  • Lead problem resolution, root cause countermeasure, and action plans to minimize disruption to the customer and OTD metric.

Requirements

  • Appropriate workplace experience in a shipping department within a manufacturing, export, import, or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
