Safety Assurance Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Safety Assurance Specialist to join our Wincanton Trans European Limited team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site health and safety activities meet statutory and company requirements. This includes conducting thorough health and safety compliance checks and audits, reporting incidents, and maintaining accurate records.
The salary for this role is £26,250 - £29,500 per annum plus benefits, which reflects the importance of this position in supporting business objectives.
Your Key Tasks:- Elevate and report all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards via the site internal escalation process.
- Collaborate with managers to investigate accidents/incidents/near misses when required.
- Regularly observe and adhere to environmental and safety guidelines.
- Conduct rigorous health and safety inspections and assessments.
- Guarantee timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Support the team and site in achieving set targets and performance metrics.
- Keep H&S documentation up-to-date as necessary.
- Develop and present engaging toolbox talks and H&S briefs.
- Maintain current H&S information displays across the site.
- Demonstrated expertise in Health and Safety administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
