We are seeking a seasoned Contractual Claims Specialist to join our team at ClearNorth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating commercial gaps caused by design changes and ensuring the recovery of missed payments by leveraging your in-depth contractual expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate incidents and make decisions on claims while navigating NEC contracts to ensure maximum cost recovery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on cooperation and mediation, rather than conflict over minor amounts.
- Fight for every penny on behalf of the contractor, using your negotiation skills and commercial savvy.
- Work across any NEC contract form, with experience in Option C as a plus.
- Strong experience with impacted programmes and ensuring all recoverable funds are claimed.
- Extensive experience working on the contractor side, with a proven ability to fight for money and maximise recovery.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts, with Option C experience considered a bonus.
- A background in dealing with complex, high-value projects in highly regulated industries, ideally with some exposure to M&E or technical projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a focus on preserving client relationships while recovering funds.
- Ability to be based in the West Midlands office 3-4 days per week, with flexibility for remote working.
