Claims Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely completion of cost packs associated with incident repairs, working closely with operational teams and incident response managers to provide reports on damaged network property to support national highways with cost recovery.
Key Accountabilities- Manage the DNP process, including Red and Green Claims, and line manage DNP Coordinators.
- Keep records, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate with Colas employees, subcontractors, emergency services, police, general public, clients, and customers in support of DNP processes.
- Prepare and evaluate compensation event claims, and/or other claims based on contractual entitlement, and/or insurance claims, and provide accurate and timely reports to support routine commercial requirements of the contract.
- Monitor contracts and report against commercial targets, providing accurate and timely commercial reports and advice to senior management.
- Manage budgets, cost forecasting, management, and control processes, including the use of contract programmes, change, and risk registers.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience developed from within this business and industry sector, or from an insurance background. They will have a proven ability to demonstrate strong financial understanding, including control and reporting of budgets and associated variations.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills, with previous experience of working within high-performing teams. Experience in the use of estimating software packages such as Causeway, Candy, etc. is desirable.
A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
