Job Description

Job Title: IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Henderson Scott is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and auditing IT hardware and software assets, as well as maintaining and managing the databases used to track them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and audit IT hardware and software assets
  • Maintain and manage databases used to track assets
  • Work with the Service Manager and report to the Solution Owner
  • Provide hardware and software configuration support
  • Audit and manage Programme assets
  • Administer the Asset Database and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Administer the Licence Management database
  • Act as the Programme's focal point for hardware and software acquisition
  • Establish and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function using best practices
  • Oversee daily management of hardware and software asset information
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the asset database
  • Maintain key asset details, including location, quantities, and identifiers
  • Coordinate with Programme, SSL, and customer personnel to meet asset management needs
  • Manage the hardware bill of materials and coordinate asset procurement
  • Provide monthly performance metrics and reports to support SLAs and demonstrate asset management efficiency

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating service support function(s) within an enterprise environment
  • IT Hardware and software auditing and management
  • Inventory Management knowledge
  • Understanding of IT hardware, software, and systems
  • Experience working within SLA frameworks and monitoring KPIs
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes
  • Proficient in asset and configuration management tools and techniques
  • Experience managing hardware and software assets in medium to large environments
