Role Overview:

The Postgraduate Program Coordinator plays a crucial role within the academic team, working closely with the leadership to enhance the student experience throughout their educational journey. This position is pivotal in managing the daily operations of a specific postgraduate program, ensuring a high-quality academic environment for both students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the academic leadership and team to oversee the operational aspects of the assigned postgraduate program.
  • Track and assess student progress and attendance, working with relevant departments to support student success.
  • Assist in addressing academic disciplinary matters and provide guidance on course selections and registration processes.
  • Support students facing academic challenges, including those on probation or returning from leaves of absence.
  • Manage and resolve student and faculty concerns, fostering a supportive academic environment.
  • Provide administrative assistance to faculty, including course preparation and logistical support.
  • Work with faculty to create academic initiatives and workshops that enhance student learning.
  • Organize and coordinate extracurricular academic projects and networking events, which may occur outside standard hours.
  • Facilitate academic communications to students through various channels.
  • Act as a liaison between academic departments, student services, and career services to streamline the student experience.
  • Assist in organizing major student events such as orientations and graduations.
  • Implement evaluation tools and metrics for program assessment.
  • Provide support for all academic services and undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a student-facing role, preferably in academic or administrative support.
  • Strong belief in the value of global education and appreciation for cultural diversity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a native or near-native level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with immediate objectives.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to implement processes that enhance the academic experience.
