About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of School to join our team at Kingston College. As a key member of the College Management Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of School in communicating policies and procedures to staff, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with expectations.
  • Focus on improving outcomes across the School, with a strong emphasis on securing high grades, improving teaching, learning, and assessment, and supporting the teaching team.
  • Monitor and support the teaching team, ensuring all students have opportunities to develop their employability skills through work experience and other work-related learning activities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Curriculum to ensure the delivery of key priorities.
  • Contribute to the development of the College's curriculum, with a focus on apprenticeships and engineering.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of apprenticeships and engineering.
  • Relevant professional qualifications.
  • Excellent teaching and/or pastoral skills.
  • A strong record of good student outcomes.
  • Proven experience of teamwork, leadership, and change management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Government policy context for the curriculum.
