About the Role

NHS Scotland is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to the community. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our East Caithness Health and Social Care Integrated Team as a Bank Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker.

As a Bank Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to use their own initiative, and provide high standards of patient care in support of the team. Experience is not required, as full training and induction will be given. Opportunities to complete your SVQ in Health & Social Care, and the possibility of further career progression, are available.

A driving licence is essential for this post, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes. A pool vehicle is available for rural areas.

The role involves working set shifts, including 7am-11am, 9am-1pm, 7am-2pm, and 5pm-10pm, or as per service requirements. This is a bank post, and the successful candidate will be required to work on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence.

  • Provide high standards of patient care in support of the team.

  • Complete any necessary training and induction.
