Our Retirement Villages Group is seeking a Wellbeing Practitioner to work Night Shifts: 8pm - 8am in our brand new Retirement Village based in Chester.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during emergencies. Key duties include:

  • Responding promptly to emergency calls within the village.
  • Assessing the nature of emergencies and providing appropriate assistance.
  • Administering first aid and basic medical care when necessary.
  • Ensuring residents and team members know how to use the emergency call system.
  • Conducting wellbeing baseline assessments for new residents to ensure they can live independently and safely in the village.
  • Providing information and awareness sessions about key health issues for over 55s and promoting self-help groups.
  • Coordinating with emergency services as required.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff during emergency situations.
  • Supporting the wider village team by providing specialist wellbeing knowledge to promote healthy eating programmes.
  • Maintaining accurate records of incidents and actions taken.

Requirements:

  • This role is subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure, medical clearance, and right to work in the UK clearance.
  • Proven experience as an emergency responder, EMT, or similar role is preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care is required.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is necessary.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of elderly residents.
  • Physical ability to respond quickly to emergencies and assist residents as needed.
