Job Title: Transport Planner

Mulgrew Haulage Limited is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at our Head Office in Dromore. As a key member of our traffic team, you will be responsible for planning customers' collections and deliveries in the most cost-effective and efficient manner, while maximizing vehicle utilization and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan routes to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce costs
  • Maintain customer KPI reports and issue drivers with clear instructions
  • Monitor drivers' hours and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Manage the live Traffic Management System and monitor vehicle movements to reduce delays
  • Assist the Customer Services team in managing customer queries and keeping them informed of changes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and book and check off shipping
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in road haulage or transport planning is essential (2 years)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
