Job Overview:

Komatsu Australia is seeking a highly skilled Regional Senior Quality Engineer to lead a team of Regional Quality Engineers and oversee the Engineering Technical support of OEM products. The successful candidate will ensure quality, compliance, and performance of machines delivered to ensure smooth operation and technical support of the product range sold and supported by Komatsu Australia throughout their region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and address all escalated and technical issues from all regions and liaise with factory
  • Support KAL Design in new model development, block changes, and SFR with direct links to the factory
  • Support Reliability Engineering in factory design issues in all aspects of machines functions, customer issues, reman faults, and early life failures
  • Coordinate between all regions the issues and best practices by measure and report allotted machines the current quality situation, covering both factory and local quality

Requirements:

  • Tertiary engineering qualifications, preferably to Bachelor of Engineering level, or in the process of obtaining similar
  • Good understanding of Quality Management and Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Good leadership skills to manage team in different locations
  • Be highly competent in the analysis of machine performance data to prepare statistical analysis reports on faults/system related problems
  • Knowledge of engineering Design processes
  • Knowledge of Komatsu IT systems, Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, and Excel), and Design software (CAD, Solidworks, Solid Edge, PTC Creo, Windchill, Hyperworks)
  • In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles
  • Highly competent on the matter of safety in the work place
  • Display a high level of self-motivation
  • The ability to communicate with the Customer, Komatsu OEM, and Site personnel at senior levels
  • High level of written and oral skills. Customer focused
