About the Job

Upton Grange School is committed to providing high-quality care and education to children and young people with special educational needs. As a Therapies Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' emotional, social, and academic development. You will work closely with our therapy teams and education staff to deliver individualized support programs, conducting assessments, and developing personalized plans. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, education, or a related discipline) is required, along with 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, including English. Experience working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized support programs to students with SEN
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized plans
  • Work collaboratively with therapy teams and education staff
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training
