Mental Health Support Worker Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead in Slough.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support services to individuals with mental health needs, promoting recovery, empowerment, and independence.

About the Role
  • Deliver person-centred support plans, working closely with customers to identify and achieve their goals.
  • Provide information, social inclusion, and vocational opportunities to support customers' recovery and well-being.
  • Facilitate group workshops on mental health dynamics and well-being, promoting positive relationships and community engagement.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Significant experience in mental health support work, ideally with a focus on recovery and empowerment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds.
