About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Kinship and Adoption Team. As an Adoption Social Worker and Supervising Social Worker for Kinship carers, you will work closely with professionals and agencies to progress permanency plans for Looked After Children. Your responsibilities will include supervising Reg 24 carers, ensuring care standards, supporting carers, monitoring the welfare and progress of Looked After Children, and providing post-Special Guardianship Order (SGO) support.

Requirements

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken for successful applicants, including a Disclosure check. The postholder must have a social work degree and be registered with Social Work England.

About you

You are a passionate, caring, and dedicated Social Worker with at least two years of post-qualifying experience working with children and families. You excel in diverse communities, promote good practice, and adhere to equal opportunities policies. You're a strong communicator with excellent report-writing skills, capable of making evidence-based decisions.

About us

Join us and become part of a team dedicated to making a difference for children and families. In return, we offer a competitive pay package, a generous pension, up to 30 days of annual leave, flexible working opportunities, and significant investment in your learning and development. We also provide excellent support for your wellbeing.
