About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified social work professional to join our team as a Qualified Social Worker within the Children's Court Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being, and will be part of a close-knit team that works together to achieve this goal.

About the Team

The Children's Court Team sits within the Children Looked After, Court, Leaving Care and Family Time (Contact) Service, and is supported by the Family Time (Contact) Team.

The team has a strong focus on supporting families and ensuring that children receive the best possible outcomes, and the successful candidate will be an integral part of this team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Providing direct support to children and families, including parenting assessments and direct work with children.
  2. Working closely with other professionals, including social workers, police officers, and court staff, to ensure that children's needs are met.
  3. Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans for children, and working with families to ensure that these plans are implemented.
  4. Providing regular updates to the team and other stakeholders on the progress of cases, and contributing to case conferences and reviews.
  5. Participating in training and professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • A DipSW or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • A current DBS.
  • Experience of working with children and families, particularly in a court setting.
  • A car driver's license.
