About the Role

The Clinical Innovation Delivery Lead will play a key role in facilitating the delivery of the Trust Innovation Strategy, providing the principal point of contact between the Trust and innovators who wish to work in partnership to address unmet needs, commercialize good ideas, and improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead responsibility for delivering the Trust Innovation Programme, working across several clinical disciplines in addition to Commercial, Finance, Commissioning, Communications, and Information Management.
  • Coaching front-line staff and signposting to expertise, providing constructive feedback, and sharing skills and knowledge.
  • Provide strong leadership in developing the Trust Innovation Plan ensuring CPFT remains ambitious and reflects all options for delivery.
  • Participate in a wide range of Trust forums in the formulation of strategic and operational plans and to ensure that the Innovation Strategy reflects organizational objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Project management, Programme management qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of evaluation methodology and/or healthcare service redesign.
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in planning and delivering programmes and projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the local and national innovation and spread discourse.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate research qualification e.g. PhD in life sciences or a discipline related to health, or clinical qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A successful track record of preparing and supporting substantial research and/or investment funding proposals.
  • Experience of building, maintaining, and leveraging successful relationships with staff at all levels in an organization.
  • Managerial and/or coaching experience.
