We are seeking a highly skilled Network Design Engineer to join our team at ION Group. As a key member of our network team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our global network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement global network architecture for our clients and internal transformation projects.
- Collaborate with network architects to ensure client delivery is scoped, designed, and documented appropriately.
- Provide technical input into solutions design for support of new business requirements.
- Aid in the design and implementation of global network re-architecture, including a move to a future zero-trust model.
- Provision of level 3 support for incidents and problem resolution when deep expertise is needed.
- Drive network automation to enable agility within our public and private cloud environments.
- Creation, maintenance, and review of operational and technical design documentation.
- Interact with other team members globally and other teams to progress projects, designs, and incidents.
- Proven solutions design and architecture design for secure global hybrid cloud network implementations.
- Proven third-line support experience in a time-sensitive, high-availability customer-facing environment.
- Proven network support and administration experience with strong hands-on experience working with, deploying, and supporting BGP, OSPF, and IP multicast within large-scale hybrid enterprise environments.
- Experience with designing, deploying, and running micro-segmented in hybrid environments.
- Experience with automation tools, scripting, IaC in AWS, including Terraform.
- Experience working with and supporting distributed datacenter and hybrid cloud compute services.
- Excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills with familiarity with network monitoring, management, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to support irregular working hours, including weekend shift working patterns.
- Formal accreditation (AWS Cloud Network Engineer, Architect, Cloud Security Architect) is a benefit.
