Hourly rate - £11.58 per hour
Hours per week – 28, including some weekends and evenings
At Runwood Homes, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Activity and Wellbeing Lead. Your main role will be to plan and deliver meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents. You will also guide, develop and coach our staff in engagement and activity with residents, so that every day is filled with magic moments.
As an Activity and Wellbeing Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Leading on, and delivering, high quality meaningful activity for all residents
- Ensuring people living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents
- Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
- Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
- Creating and maintaining excellent community links
You will receive individual support, guidance and investment in your development to ensure you have the confidence and skills to deliver high quality activity and engagement to residents. We are looking for someone with a positive forward-thinking approach, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to enthuse and guide others. Care home experience is an advantage, as is any previous experience of providing activity or leading others. You will also need to be assertive, yet flexible.
