At New Barn School, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers and support staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils with their emotional and physical needs, helping them to develop as individuals and engage with the world around them.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing learning materials and running classroom activities
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to pupils
  • Assisting with the development of individualized learning plans
