Teaching Assistant for English Department

We are seeking a recent English graduate to join our client school's English department as a Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time position, starting after the October half-term.

The salary for this role will be between £420 and £450 per week.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the school's English department by assisting the Teacher in their lesson delivery.
  • Work with smaller groups of pupils to target their individual needs and learning plans.
  • Ensure that the classroom is always a safe learning environment for pupils.
  • Follow children protection procedures.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to develop skills as a teaching assistant. You will be supported by both Teaching Personnel and the school in your development. For the right candidate, there is the potential for progression into teacher training, resulting in a full-time teacher position.

To be successful in this role, you must be a recent English graduate, passionate about starting a career in teaching English. You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide two employment references.
