Ongo Recruitment Ltd is seeking a premises support officer to join their team at a school in Epworth. As a skilled facilities professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises.

You will oversee site security, maintenance, health and safety, and cleanliness, contributing to an environment where everyone can thrive. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine repairs, minor works, and general upkeep to ensure the school is well-maintained.
  • Monitoring security systems and closing the school buildings.
  • Conducting regular checks of fire safety equipment, play areas, and other facilities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining outdoor spaces, including gardens, pathways, and playgrounds.
  • Overseeing external contractors working on-site, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
  • Monitoring and managing cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Providing practical assistance during school events and supporting staff with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in their work. You should have:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management role (preferred).
  • Must hold a current DBS.
  • Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Work Type and Hours

  • Part-time, Temp.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 14:30 - 17:30.

An estimated salary for this position is around £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
