About the Role

The Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge is seeking a skilled Building Attendant to join its Soft Facilities team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building management to all users of the Cavendish Estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily cleaning and janitorial operations to support world-class research and teaching within the Department.
  • Provide specialized cleaning solutions for active laboratory and cleanroom areas, kitchens, lecture theatres, workshops, and external areas.
  • Work effectively with staff, students, and visitors to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a scientific laboratory environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
