Role Overview

The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist will support the Risk Function's business risk partners to ensure the operation of an effective and robust enterprise risk management framework across McNeil & Co.'s Lloyd's, London Market and UK P&C businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support in the ongoing development of the entity risk registers.
  2. Assist with the review of risk policies.
  3. Support the business risk partners in quarterly risk assessments, risk reviews, controls assessments, KRI updates, and other risk management activities as required.
  4. Ensure that the ORSA process is undertaken in accordance with the ORSA Policy, including collation of information and preparation of the ORSA reports.
  5. Investigate risk events, control failings or weaknesses, and monitor risk function actions.
  6. Support the emerging risks process.
  7. Prepare risk and control information for internal and external audiences, including relevant Committees and the Board.
  8. Provide risk management training and ongoing support to stakeholders.
  9. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Risk Function's GRC tool (Decision Focus).
Requirements

Skills / Competencies

  1. Knowledge of a Risk Management Framework.
  2. GRC tool experience, particularly Decision Focus.
  3. Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  4. Ability to prioritise and challenge.
  5. Alignment with McNeil & Co.'s values and behaviours, including being a committed team player and having a positive mindset.

Qualifications

  1. Educated to degree level.
  2. Studying for relevant professional exams would be preferable.

Experience

  1. Up to 4 years' experience in the insurance sector, preferably in Lloyd's or the London Market.
  2. Risk Management experience is preferable but not essential.

Salary Estimate: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.
