About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as a Dual Diagnosis Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of adult community mental health services in Sandwell, transforming the lives of individuals with complex mental health and substance misuse issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care and guidance to clients with drug and alcohol dependency, working closely with outreach services to support their recovery.
  • Assess and formulate individual intervention plans, using current knowledge of NHS policies and practices in mental health to inform your approach.
  • Manage clinical risks and develop robust clinical management plans for Service Users with complex mental health problems.
  • Support the Team Manager and Clinical Lead to deliver high-quality services, adhering to national quality indicators and organizational values.

Person Specification
  • NMC - RMN Registration
  • Experience of working within mental health services, including assessment and management of individuals with substance misuse issues.
  • Knowledge of NHS policies and practices in mental health, with evidence of commitment to promoting service user and carer values.
