About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client's Project Management Office (PMO) in support of work across the organization. This is a diverse role that offers the unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects, which requires knowledge and experience of many different aspects of the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the PMO with the delivery of projects across the business and acting as the focal point for internal stakeholders during the planning and initiation phases of a project
  • Providing robust project governance in line with internal processes and industry best practice
  • Responsible for the development, ownership, and implementation of project management plans, schedules, risk registers, and other associated tools
  • Completing internal and external reporting, including schedule, financial, and quality performance
  • Assisting with bid development work as required, providing inputs on cost, schedule, and risk
  • Providing assistance to account managers during the business-as-usual phase of a contract
  • Delivering briefs to the senior leadership team and providing assistance in the preparation of briefs and presentations to the Board of Directors
Requirements
  • Significant experience of delivering complex projects, ideally in an aviation, manufacturing, or technology environment
  • Proven ability to work as part of a matrix organization
  • Able to apply different methodologies as required, i.e., waterfall vs agile
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently without impacting performance
  • Experience of commercial and contract negotiation processes
  • Proficient in a range of project management software tools, including MS Project
  • Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including senior managers and customers
  • Experience of forming and maintaining working relationships across professional and operational boundaries
  • Able to travel regularly within the UK and occasional international travel
  • The post holder must be eligible to hold security clearance to SC level
Desirable Qualifications
  • Management of Risk (MoR) and/or Managing Successful Programs (MSP) are highly desirable
  • Formal project management qualification, such as Prince 2, APM PMQ, would be advantageous
