Job Title: Project Controller

Company: Undisclosed

Location: Remote (2 days per week onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Salary: £425 - £475 per day via Umbrella

Role Overview

The Project Controller will provide support to senior members of the Integrated Delivery Team (IDT) and Programme Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will have acquired experience through practical training and will be working towards a professional qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Provide support to IDTs and other large and complex strategic programmes.
  • Service Delivery: Manage the performance of project teams with assigned IDTs or programmes.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the Project Controls and wider Delivery Support function.
  • Financial Management: Have a good understanding of project finances and reporting metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the design and improvement of a project support capability and process.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports and analysis.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with project and planning processes and tools.
  • Workload Management: Prioritise workload and coordinate activities effectively.
  • Quality of Communication: Ensure quality of project updates and information communicated.
  • Customer Feedback: Receive internal and/or external customer feedback.
  • Recognition: Documented internal recognition as key point of contact for Project/Function.
Requirements
  • Project Management: Working knowledge of project management principles and how project control activities underpin them.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrable competence in SAP, MS Excel (including add-ins), Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational and record-keeping skills with ability to prioritise workload and multitask.
  • Knowledge and Awareness: Awareness of the project lifecycle, project finances, and sales processes.
  • Process Management: Intermediate process management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at varying levels.
  • Education: Educated to a minimum of GCSE level (to include English and Mathematics).
  • Qualifications: Competence against the agreed Project Controls Competency Framework at a level of Foundation or APMP Introduction Certificate desirable.
