About the Role:

National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating at the heart of NHSScotland, providing strategic and operational support. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for commissioning National Specialist Services and National Planning for Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior leadership to a team of staff responsible for commissioning National Specialist Services and National Planning for Scotland.
  • Support the implementation of the NSD Strategic Plan and the overarching NSS objectives.
  • Work with NHS Board colleagues, Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates, and health professionals across Scotland to ensure high-quality services are provided to residents of Scotland.

Requirements:

  • Education to masters level.
  • Proven track record of clinical and managerial experience at a senior level within an NHS environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience of planning at a strategic level.
  • Proven negotiation skills and change management experience.
