Role Overview

Healthcare Improvement Scotland's Medical & Safety Directorate is seeking a Chief Pharmacist and Associate Director to join their team. This exciting opportunity involves providing strategic senior leadership, specialist pharmacy advice, and clinical guidance in shaping the organization's direction.

About the Role

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £99,534 - £103,795 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in driving improvements in healthcare across Scotland.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership across multiple agencies to support improvements in care
  • Representing Healthcare Improvement Scotland at the highest level with key stakeholders
  • Driving a consistent approach to clinical governance within the organization

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent
  • Registration with the GPC
  • Extensive experience in senior management and clinical leadership within the NHS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
