We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Pharmacy Leader to join our Medical & Safety Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our strategy to improve the care delivered across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic senior leadership and specialist, professional Pharmacy advice
  • Provide clinical leadership in guiding the development of Healthcare Improvement Scotland's strategic direction
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that Medicines & Pharmacy work programmes align and integrate with other national improvement/assurance programmes
  • Represent Healthcare Improvement Scotland at the highest level across multiple agencies

Requirements:

  • Master's level education or equivalent
  • Registered with the GPC
  • Extensive experience at both a senior management and clinical leadership level within the NHS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

About the Role:

The Medical & Safety Directorate was established in 2023 with a focus on clinical expertise supporting safer care in Scotland. As a Strategic Pharmacy Leader, you will be part of a team that provides professional leadership and support for all medical and pharmacy professionals and expert professional advice across Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
