Job Description

As a Support Worker at Mencap, you will be working with a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your role will involve providing emotional support, assisting with daily activities, and helping to develop life skills.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for supporting others, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, waking nights, and holidays, is also essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time) and a range of benefits, including pension and holiday buying options.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. An enhanced DBS check and suitable references are also required.
