About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a North West London SEN school. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting ASD students in a number of classes, with a maximum of 8 pupils per class.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the SEN Teaching Assistant team in class under the direction of the class teacher
  • Assist small ASD classes of 8 students
  • Support the development of pupils with Autism
  • Participate in regular CPD training to enhance skills and knowledge

The school is committed to providing excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development through regular CPD training. Permanent contracts will be offered to those who distinguish themselves over an initial 12 month agency period.

Requirements
  • Experience working with ASD students
  • Experience working with SEN students
  • SEN Teaching Assistant experience
  • Willingness to undertake personal care tasks (feeding, changing, toileting etc.)
  • DBS clearance or willingness to pay for one
