Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Delivery Manager to join our Major Programme Services (MPS) team. As a Junior Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients to deliver some of the UK's most complex products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the successful achievement of outcomes for our clients by setting the team up for success, supporting them in problem solving and planning, and enabling them to come up with their own insights within the complex constraints our clients face today.
  • Harness the metrics coming from the team to help the team improve its own throughput and to inform clients and others about how the teams are delivering.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects using the appropriate methodology, learning and iterating frequently, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge, and bringing in best practice with a view to continuous performance improvement.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities, facilitating collaboration and communication among all participants.
  • Develop your own delivery expertise even further through a range of on-the-job learning, training, and formal qualifications.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of estimating, scoping and delivering products, services, and outcomes using a variety of delivery techniques and methods.
  • Experience of working in technical/ engineering projects using Agile Delivery methods.
  • Experience or certification in project management or project controls methodologies (PMQ, Prince2 etc) is desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems, and to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with stakeholders across all levels.
