Job Details

Able Personnel is seeking a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team, working closely with employers and learners to deliver exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accountancy and a passion for mentoring and coaching, with the ability to provide high-quality support and guidance to our apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with employers to ensure learner outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to learners to help them grow their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Deliver coaching and mentoring support and advice throughout the learning journey and beyond.
  • Create learning resources for the EPA portfolio and its evidence gathering.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with employers, ensuring they are informed and part of the learning journey for their workforce.
  • Provide pastoral support and advice to learners and employers, including mental health support.
  • Conduct regular and timely progression reviews with learners, setting SMART targets, and providing additional learner support as required.
  • Manage data relating to individual learner targets, including working with other colleagues to ensure the success of the learner.
  • Promote and embed Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, and Health and Safety in all learning sessions.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Hold a minimum of AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or equivalent, unless already an experienced mentor or trainer/assessor in AAT.
  • Demonstrate experience working in an accounting environment, industry, or practice, unless already an experienced mentor or trainer/assessor in AAT.
  • Display natural empathy and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
  • Have experience liaising with employers and external agencies.

Desirable but not essential for this role:

  • Mentor or training experience.
  • Prior experience working within apprenticeships/education or with unemployed individuals.
  • Teaching or assessing qualification.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £25,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, with mileage paid at 45p per mile. Additional benefits include the opportunity to work from home on certain days and a supportive team environment.

About the Role

This role covers Leicester, Derby, and Nottingham, with the option to work from the office in Derby or Nottingham if preferred.
