This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Able Personnel as a Learning and Development Professional, where you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of accountants.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with apprentices in the workplace and classroom, providing regular reviews and taking ownership of administration tasks related to their progress.

You will provide a safe and conducive learning environment, ensuring that each apprentice receives blended academic and pastoral advice, guidance, and support.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Developing and implementing effective learning strategies to ensure timely achievement of learner outcomes.
  2. Providing constructive feedback to learners on growing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  3. Mentoring and coaching apprentices throughout their learning journey, offering support and advice beyond completion.
  4. Creating tailored learning resources for the End Point Assessment portfolio and its evidence gathering.
  5. Fostering strong relationships with employers, keeping them informed and involved in the learning process for their workforce.
  6. Offering pastoral support and advice to learners and employers, addressing mental health concerns and other welfare issues.
  7. Conducting regular progression reviews with learners, setting SMART targets, and providing additional support as required.
  8. Managing data related to individual learner targets, collaborating with colleagues to ensure learner success.
  9. Promoting Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, and Health and Safety in all learning sessions.
Requirements and Qualifications

Essential:

  1. A minimum AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or equivalent, if not already an experienced mentor.
  2. Experience working in an accounting environment, industry, or practice, if not already an experienced mentor or trainer/assessor.
  3. Natural empathy with people and a genuine desire to help individuals achieve their goals.
  4. Experience liaising with employers and external agencies.

Desirable but not Essential:

  1. Mentor or training experience.
  2. Prior experience working within apprenticeships/education or with unemployed individuals.
  3. Teaching or assessing qualification.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000-£35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and mileage paid at 45p per mile. The role covers Leicester, Derby, and Nottingham areas.
