About the Role
We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Fostering and Kinship team in Kingston. The successful candidate will work with colleagues to provide a range of fostering services, including recruitment, assessment, training, and supervision/support. The role involves undertaking assessments to safely place children and achieve permanency plans, as well as completing initial family assessments and supporting carers through regular supervision visits.
About You
- You will hold a professional qualification (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and be actively registered with Social Work England, with a proven commitment to continuing professional development.
- You will have knowledge and experience of working with current legislation and regulations, particularly fostering regulations and national minimum standards.
- You will have experience in completing thorough assessments, ideally Form F/C and special guardianship assessments, and supporting foster carers through regular supervision visits.
- You will have experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships, and working with a range of professionals, especially foster carers.
