About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our team at Amazon's Logistics Hub. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety and Wellbeing: Create and maintain a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
  2. Quality and Productivity: Analyze and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels, driving continuous improvement across the team.
  3. Process Improvement: Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
  4. Shift Performance: Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive consistency across the team.
About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Requirements
  1. A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant experience in people management, including communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  3. Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  4. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  2. Experience working in another logistics environment.
  3. Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
