Location: Remote (with occasional site visits)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishing appliances within client's residential and commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys to ensure safety and compliance with relevant British Standards and legislation.
  • Servicing portable firefighting equipment in accordance with British Standards and legislation.
  • Use basic numeracy skills to calculate floor areas, travel distances, and apply simple formulas.
  • Safely handle portable firefighting equipment, including pressure vessels weighing up to 20kg each.
  • Manage van stock correctly and ensure relevant paperwork is submitted to replenish stock.
  • Use mobile PDA device correctly and report faults to line manager promptly.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is completed and shared with line manager in real-time.

Requirements:

  • BAFE certified in Fire Extinguisher Technician or equivalent.
  • Experience in servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
  • Knowledge of British Standards and legislation related to fire safety.
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to apply simple formulas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
